Collages

“Handmade collages of Japanese paper mixed with banana fibres are the eye-catchers in this new wallcovering collection of Omexco, hence called “Collages”. Small pieces of paper are glued on a non woven backing by skilled craftsmen, either to form a stripe, or a random mosaic, enhanced here and there with a glimpse of metallic foil. The visual result is absolutely stunning. This is not just wall-covering, this is wall-art. The paper collages are combined with non-woven wallcoverings : a printed stone effect and a plain structured with sisal fibres. The colours cover a wide range from natural shades of white, ivory, vanilla, pale pink to more earthy colours like rock grey, limestone, ferruginous soil, and even trendy bold colours like fuchsia, cobalt blue, turquoise, twilight lavender, crimson, flashy orange, rust.”

Koyori

“Japanese paper cord or “koyori” inspired Omexco’s new wallcovering collection, which consists of paper strips on non-woven backing. The paper strips are slightly twisted, and then warp-laid, either close to one another, as a monochrome plain, either in a bicolour stripe pattern. For some items the yarns consist of cute interlocking loops, as if crocheted. The matt paper yarns are or now and then enhanced with a subtle pearlescent shimmer, which gives them a sophisticated yet natural look. Koyori brings a touch of zen to your interior decoration. Vivid shades of magenta pink, cherry, turquoise, coral red... alternate with softer colours as celadon green, plum, ivory, fresh grey or golden straw.”

Graphite

“The wallcovering collection “Graphite” comprises endless variations on mica: the popular structured mica is combined with mica shells, with mica mixed with recycled paper, with a very naturallooking mixed-sized mica. Some items are printed with a pattern reminding raked sand in japanese zen-gardens, others are embossed with metallic foil, in a tiny square design or an elegant wave. The natural sparkle of the mineral stones enhance dark colours like graphite, night blue, onyx; they confer a mother-of-pearl glow to gold, cream, grey; they brighten up purple, anthracite, brown, charcoal. Metallic foil adorns the mica stones with touches of yellow and white gold, platina, silver, copper, aluminium.”

Capiz

“Capiz shells, often referred to as “glass oysters” because of their translucent appearance, thrive well in the coastal waters of the Philippines, more specifically in the province of Capiz, where the shells are harvested every fourth month. Wallcoverings made with capiz shells are the eyecatchers in the collection “Capiz” of Omexco. After a careful cleaning and drying process, the shells are softened, coloured with water-based dyes and then polished. Subsequently small segments of the organic shells are laminated one by one on a non-woven backing, which is then cut into strips. These strips are patiently woven by skilled craftsmen on handlooms. Some weaves in this collection are interwoven with bakbak (bark of the banana tree) providing a refined association of different authentic natural materials. The combination of exquisite craftsmanship and Omexco design makes the Capiz collection truly precious. These exclusive wallcoverings will adorn your walls and enhance your interiors with a touch of exotic and sophisticated elegance.”

Elegance

“Damask designs reminiscent of 18th century palaces and mansions, ornamental patterns and floral motifs, classic yet with a contemporary twist are the main – and extremely elegant – themes in the new textile wallcovering collection of Omexco. Delicately printed – as if they were embroidered – on silky rayon yarns, they perfectly blend with the matching colourful space dyed plain items, or with the rather matt and natural look of plain linen yarns.”

Rainbows

“The explosion of colours of recycled sari silk, woven with strips of bakbak (bark of the banana tree) is at the origin of the name of this top-notch wallcovering collection. Each metre of this product is unique, since the colours of the silk alternate, without ever being repeated. The bakbak is coloured in chalk white, cinnamon or chestnut – three different atmospheres to illuminate, soften or intensify the rainbow of the silk fabric. Squares of crushed paper, printed in faded shades and glued on a non-woven backing are in perfect harmony with the bakbak and the natural silk.”

Avenue

“This collection will take you for a joyful walk through the effervescence of the arteries of Manhattan, Chicago or Miami, full of eclectic and timeless influences. Walk freely along the large avenues on the rythm of Jazz music, dreaming of prosperous times, of a sumptuous Art-Deco style… A balanced mix of stylised and dynamic motifs, hinting at the architecture and the urbanism of these metropolitan areas, and at their predilection back then for precious materials and exotic woodwork. Even if influences from the past can be found in this collection, contemporary accents give them a new interpretation. Ode to elegance and refinement, with a touch of extravagance, the collection Avenue stages graphic and coloristic codes. Avenue goes back and forth between shimmering and intense colours, enhanced by gold and other metallic accents, pastel colours and natural and sobre shades.”

Borneo

“Borneo... a natural paradise, endless beaches, and a magnificent rainforest... the name of this island in southeast Asia, surrounded by clear blue water, probably meant at the origin “people of the seas”... This unique Omexco collection, ode to the joy of traveling, invites you to sail off to luxuriant vegetation and breath-taking flora. Borneo offers rich and sumptuous colours and a mosaic of elegant natural materials, reflecting the beauty of the island. It combines precious products, handmade by skilled craftsmen, with ecological non-woven wallcoverings, matt and textured. Bakbak, the dried outer part of the bark of the abaca plant (a species of banana), is carefully dried, dyed in superb colours, laminated on a non-woven backing and subsequently cut into strips. This sheet is finally patiently woven on handlooms. Raffia with metallic reflections is laminated on non-woven and then dyed with delicate touches of tone-on-tone pastels, or strokes of lacquered colours. This material reminds of the precious minerals, abundantly present on the isle, and also of the multicoloured stripes at the horizon, tinted by the changing daylight.”

Shades of Pale

“Shades of Pale reaches the perfect balance between tones of white and natural materials. Abaca weave, bacnoc, bamboo, jute, waterlily, raffia, sisal and other tropical fibres – capiz shells, paper, linen and other textiles: the collection offers a wide spectrum of products, patiently and carefully manufactured by skilled craftsmen, in order to obtain an authentic and original result. Referring to japanese philosophy and other popular trends, the collection pays tribute to a return to craftmanship and the use of ancestral techniques, as well as the application of unique materials, full of meaning. Shades of Pale invites you to accept imperfections and to value materials carrying the signature of their manufacturing process, without camouflaging marks, joints, patina... Go back to the essence, the elegance of natural material, without affecting its poetic charm... ”

Bijou

“Steeped in a delicate atmosphere, ‘Bijou’ shines in contrasts: shadow and light, matt and shiny, warm and cold colours. Exquisite, declined in soft pastel shades and metallic glimmer, the collection is created around two highlights: - a handmade collage of marbled paper, in tone-on- tone colours with multiple shimmers of gold, silver or copper - an iridescent embossed non-woven sheet with silver glow, subdued by  matt effects. An ethereal herb design with japanese influences breathes lightness into the range, whereas the matching plains have a place of honour as well: oxidized non- woven wallcovering in untamed colours, or motifs of delicate squares enhanced with iridescent stripes, merging  into a hazy plain. Universe of sand and gold, shades of matt white, silvery grey, mix of blue verdigris, pink copper combined with slate blue and cortinar violet... As a jewel box of beauty, this cosy collection will take you to a more intimate  place such as a boudoir. The elegance and preciousness of the products presented in this range inspired the name ‘Bijou’, superb adornment one would like to wear... At last our walls can reflect our exquisite taste and our wish to dress them up.”

Antarès

“‘Antarès’, the new cork collection of Omexco, twinkling with golden and silver reflections, really deserves the name of a star. Radiant, Antarès reveals lights hidden behind shadows and fascinates by its material, both rough and precious, the result of highly skilled work by specialized craftsmen. Natural product evoking the tree from which the cork is harvested (the bark of the cork-oak), enhanced with precious sparkles which reflect the light differently, depending on the hour of the day, always showing the material at its best. Antarès swings between a warm and a cold atmosphere, creating a very contemporary look. A smart choice of textured motifs – referring to weathered materials – simili plains matching intertwining and damask designs, all of them printed on organic material with its irresistible charm. Imperfect but gorgeous, this noble material stages a subtle superposition between backing and design, each layer adding to the stunning result.”

Kaleidoscope

“The kaleidoscope took its name from the ancient Greek words ’kalos’, meaning ‘beautiful’, ’eidos’, ‘that which is seen: form, shape’ and ’skopeo’, ‘to look to, to examine’, hence meaning ‘observation of beautiful forms’. The colourful, complex and constantly shifting shapes and patterns which can be seen if looking through a kaleidoscope have inspired the new Omexco wallcovering collection. The collection "Kaleidoscope" offers endless decorating possibilities… The printed non-woven wallcoverings are available in a rainbow of colours, from bold and generous shades like coral red, sunny yellow, peacock blue, emerald green, bright fuchsia, lapis lazuli... to more subdued tones such as apricot, Prussian blue, khaki, taupe and finally soft touches of vanilla, chalk white, ivory, azure, pearl grey. Different structures and effects bring the collection to life: some items evoke textures of burnished metal, silk organza or woven sisal, others simulate sand, stone and concrete effects. A few items are enhanced with metallic shimmer of silver, copper, pink gold, platina...”

Infinity

“Discrete, elegant and timeless, yet versatile and ever-surprising... stripes offer infinite possibilities to dress up your walls. With a design as simple as a stripe, Omexco’s new collection ’Infinity’ invites you to discover how refreshing a new interpretation of a very familiar design can be. Wood veneer, faux suède, natural linen, space dyed and printed rayon yarns, printed and embossed non-woven… a great variety of exquisite materials compete with each other in endless colour variations of small and large stripe designs, tone-on-tone or multicoloured… For most items, railroad installlation is possible, with a more contemporary look and stunning horizontal stripes as a result, as well as the more traditional vertical installation, for a classic effect, making your room look more spacy. On the rythm of these vibrant stripes, colours switch from pearl grey and ivory to luxurious gold, platinum and rosé champagne. Soft cream and jade pastel shades alternate with cool turquoise, sapphire and violet, and warmer colours like copper, leather brown, camel, paulownia wood, theatre red.”

Gala

“With all its splendour, Gala welcomes us in a magnificent atmosphere, worthy of an evening at the opera, and reminds us of the universe of Fortuny, eclecticism mingling Venice to Byzantium. Omexco composes this new non-woven collection around the leitmotiv of damasks, while two timeless plains, one matt and one metallic, complete the range.  Straight away, Gala enters the scene on an exuberant note with a large baroque damask in deep orange enhanced with gold leaf, continues with a small classic damask, carries us off with a damask design with ottoman accents and ends its journey with a contemporary textured and embossed damask. Sumptuous atmospheres, soft or generous and warm, back and forth between shadows and light, contrasts and baroque accents, gold and silver lustre... Gala seduces us by its shades of glacé chestnut; golden brown, burnt orange; amber yellow, pearl and silver grey; linen; ochre yellow; celadon green; pastel; violet etc.”

Vogue

Elegant, timeless yet contemporary, Vogue dresses up your walls with an iridescent sheen, and colours them in undulating lines. A subtle glow spreads, a game of duo-tones, of light and contrast between the back colour and the embossed metallic foil... a scale of endless variations… Try to keep pace with them, while turning the pages one by one... Let’s travel along shades of weelwright blue, light lime and dark duck green, purple, crimson red, terracotta; copper, peach; silver and linen grey; mocca and clay beige; anthracite, lead; pale alabaster and ivory… Metallic leaves of white and yellow gold, silver, copper, bronze, anthracite, icy pink… enhance the different printed colours. Aruba

“This new Omexco collection takes you to the exotic isle of Aruba, located in the Carribean sea. Suddenly your interior will bathe you in peace and well-being, a shelter from chaos, a moment to catch your breath. It has become so rare nowadays to allow ourselves a chance to escape, even if just briefly... Aruba evokes this precious planet, reminds us of its ephemeral dimension, and tells us to remember its territories and colours: the purity of its water, the light, the palm trees, the warmth of the sand... Enter the universe of endless shades of blue : ocean, slate, teal, blueberry;  shades of green : malachite, verdigris, water green; opal and pearl grey; orpiment yellow; lime, chalk and kaolin white; powder and sepia beige... The textures are impregnated by our unique and harmonious universe... Weaves of authentic natural materials, linen yarns and ecological non-woven wallcoverings reflect the poetry of nature acting on all elements, eroded by sand, mattified by the wind, like the design on a stone, reflecting the horizontal lines of the landscape in the sand... A variety of different qualities and compositions, which can be perfectly combined.”

Seraya (New)

“Paying tribute to natural materials, imperfectly formed over a lifetime. A book of Luxury, Seraya is an ode to the Earth and all its splendours. An odyssey across continents and materials, Seraya is an exclusive collection by Omexco that offers an extensive range of timeless and luxurious natural qualities. As an established designer and producer of luxury wallcoverings, we have a time-honoured affinity for natural products. We are proud to showcase our collection of natural materials in a large book. Dedicated to the finest artisan traditions, we transform pure materials into exceptional wallcoverings, from natural elements into works of art. Banana bark, coconut bark, rattan, bacnoc, water lily, capiz,... The palette combines an expansive range of natural neutral colours - occasionally emphasised by metallic reflections - in tones that evoke the natural elements.”

Khatam (New)

“The Khatam collection reveals the most beautiful characteristics of cork, a stunning natural renewable material. Soft to the touch with beautiful nuances in tone, this cork collection has a matt finish. We were inspired by the intricacy of Venetian floor patterns and the exquisite designs of Persian marquetry which fuse Eastern and Western artwork. Production is precise yet sophisticated. Bark from the cork oak is harvested, combined in block form, cut into delicate leaves, placed onto a metallic background, then coloured or printed. The natural beauty of the cork is gently enhanced through unique dyeing methods. The colours are embellished with gold, silver or copper sparkles. A timeless collection of contemporary neutral tones and shades contrasted with striking jewel colours of peacock blue, charcoal, leaf green and red rust. Intimately connected with nature, the Khatam collection is authentic, elegant and entirely suited to modern living.”

Loft (New)

“Our designers were inspired by wall patinas weathered by the depths of history for this new collection that blends non-woven prints and resplendent minerals: glass beads and mica sparkles. A subtle interplay between shadow and light, matt and shine, on unique designs inspired by nature or geometry. Like a handprint, the print techniques are selected to convey the beauty of the material’s imperfections. The collection offers harmonies of deep colours as well as soft and muted shades. The stunning glass beads lend an air of magnificence to large spaces. The handprints suit all interiors perfectly.”
